Divide the numbers in the this story by 10 and substitute “Streator Unlimited” for Seguin, and the story is equally accurate.
Sad that this is not an unusual story here in Illinois. SU has been on that same 6 month’s worth of hardship payments. Those end this month, so we’ll be heading back into treacherous circumstances once again. The lack of payments is so great a threat that it’s taking our attention from the disastrous cuts proposed for us in next fiscal year’s state budget.
Illinois came in at 48th on the ranking of Medicaid services for people with developmental disabilities. That’s 48th in a bad way.
