An excellent editorial in the Chicago Tribune on the backwardsness of Governor Quinn’s proposed budget as it relates to services for people with disabilities.
The Pantagraph put forth a similar opinion.
The ARC put out a budget toolkit. It describes the broad differences between the three budget proposals from the Governor, House and Senate. The Governor’s is the only one that increases institutional spending while severely cutting community spending.

Meanwhile, supporters from the Streator community will meet from 6-7 pm tonight at SU, working on ways to fundraise on an annual basis to keep funding for the Workshop Program stable in the future. The grant funding the workshop was cut this past year. WS Supporters Letter 5-11
