DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Full-time and part-time positions supporting adults with developmental disabilities to lead full, healthy lives and to be a part of our community. Our current needs are evenings, midnights and weekends in our group homes. You don’t need experience–we provide over 120 hours of training.

What does a DSP do? Support people to do the things you see in the pictures all over our page; help with meals (some may need help learning to cook; some may need physical assistance eating, depending on the person), laundry, toileting/showering, goals, getting out into the community…basically the things that make a home and a life.

This may require you to be able to physically assist a person who uses a wheelchair, drive a van to take people places, and document progress on goals. You’ll also need to meet a number of requirements, such as a passing a drug test, back assessment, physical, criminal background check and literacy test. You must have a high school diploma or GED and have a valid driver’s license.

Starting wage is $10.00/hour plus a $.50 shift differential for second and third shifts as well as weekends. We offer excellent benefits as well.
